Synthesis and Characterization of SrBi2Ta2O9 Solid Solution and It's Thin Film

SrBiTa2O9[SBT] solid solutions have been synthesized with various precursors and analysed by XRD and SEM. In the present study, two different types of precursor methods(oxide mixing and sol-gel method) are adopted. For the using of the oxide mixing, the SBT is synthesized at 1000¡É and above for 24 hours. When the sol-gel method has been used for the SBT synthesis, BiTaO4 and SrBi2O4 crystals are formed as a mixed crystal. SBT thin films have been prepared by using sol-gel method. Tle dielectric constant and remnant polarization of ferroelectric thin films increase with increasing of the sintering temperature but coercive field decreases with increasing of the sintering temperature.
